@amandalatasha shares that "It helps to have a diversity of colleagues and friends that feel comfortable sharing how they learn and absorb knowledge in different ways.” #talkingaboutdesign

How do you share and who do you share with about how you learn?

"How can I take the research and do something about it? In research, collaborating with others, being a supportive space. How can I support this in other spaces in education?" @amandalatasha

Inspired by @attucksadams incorporating human needs into public spaces theme. Here is a bike rest in Oslo. It allows cyclists to rest on a raised curb and a balance bar & discourages peds from waiting in the bike lane while waiting at the light. #goodnbaddesign @TalkingAboutDe2

2/ However, as we create opportunities to reimagine the design of our cities, the public spaces we share can be made to incorporate human needs.

Mostly I'm just obsessed with the idea of public seating and how/when/where we build it into streetscapes.

Public seating in downtown SLC. The benches afford a more social experience which reflects the downtown location. The playful lines match the branches doubling as public sculpture. Credit @Dalrymple for pic/idea. @attucksadams @TalkingAboutDe2 #goodNbadDesign #talkingaboutdesign

At 7th & T NW, people often bring chairs, crates & other informal seats.

At 8th & T, a more recently designed streetscape includes permanent seating and wider sidewalks.

I don't think of either as good or bad design. 1/
